Here’s what some of our graduates had to say about the program:
Nimaste’s YTT was thoughtful, realistic, comprehensive, and fun! If you have ever taken a class at Nimaste, you know that the sequences are always intelligent and the instructors provide a lot of personal attention because the classes are small. Nimaste incorporated both of these characteristics into their YTT program. The program followed a logical structure that gently built upon each student’s knowledge and skills. Even though there was homework, I found the assignments to be completely pragmatic and manageable, even when balanced against my busy home and work life. Because the class size was small, each instructor provided personalized feedback to help me improve throughout every session. Although it was a little nerve-racking to teach in the beginning of the program, the instructors created such a fun, relaxed environment that I was immediately put at ease. And because I taught mini sequences during every module, I definitely felt ready to teach an entire class by the end of the program. I highly recommend this YTT program and am proud to be a Nimaste graduate.

The teacher training program at Nimaste is fantastic! The owners are experienced, knowledgeable, passionate instructors who lead a thorough and intelligently-designed program. I especially appreciate Nimaste's emphasis on hands-on learning. I began practice teaching the first week, and the constructive feedback I received was invaluable as I learned how to design my classes, refine my cues, and “find my voice” as a yoga teacher. I also appreciate Nimaste's focus on the history and philosophy of yoga. They went beyond merely introducing the basics; they taught me to deepen my instruction by incorporating the philosophy into the practice. I finished the program feeling thoroughly prepared to teach and even more committed and enthusiastic about the role of yoga in my life.

Nimaste provided a thorough, well-balanced, and welcoming yoga teacher training program. I initially was drawn to the program because I could complete it over 2 years (I have two small children and unpredictable life!) but after the first couple weekends, I knew I was going to finish in the first year because I didn't want to miss anything on the syllabus! I not only learned how to incorporate yoga philosophy and practice in my everyday life, I also found a wonderful supportive community.

The teacher training was truly a life-changing journey with Nicole and Marisa graciously serving as knowledgeable, kind, and patient guides. The training expertly taught me the anatomy of yoga poses and how to combine them into thoughtful flows. And, going even deeper, we learned how to integrate yoga philosophy, breathing, chakras, the subtle body, and so much more. As the training progressed, my teaching style emerged under their skillful guidance. I learned not only how to guide others through poses and breathing practices, but how to empower my students to discover and embrace the fullest potential of themselves on and off the mat. The training was incredibly rich on so many levels. I grew as a person and deepened my understanding of myself. I am forever changed and grateful.
